Paper

To successfully recycle paper products, please separate them into the following categories:

White Paper

Matte white paper with graphics covering less than 50% of the surface, white envelopes without plastic, computer/copier paper.

Mixed Paper

Colored paper, magazines, slick/shiny paper, notebook paper, envelopes with plastic inserts, linen or woven paper, and newspaper. If you have a large amount of newspaper, it is better to sort it separately.

Cardboard

All cardboard should be broken down and stored together.

Shredded Paper

All shredded paper must be bagged or we cannot take it.

Books

Books should be separated out. If there are only a few books, they can be placed in the mixed paper bin. However, if there are a high volume of books to be recycled, please contact Southside to schedule a pick up.

Please Note: If trash is mixed in with any of the above materials it is redeemed at a significantly lower rate and we are charged for the trash disposal!

CRV Products

Any aluminum or plastic container with the CA Redemption Value marking. All glass beverage containers. Containers must be empty and free of debris!

We do NOT accept

We cannot accept trash, wet paper, stamps, paper cups, candy or gum wrappers, fast food containers, or any container still containing food or liquid. If contaminated containers are mixed in with acceptable CRV, the entire bin is considered contaminated. If trash is mixed in with the any recycled materials it is redeemed at a significantly lower rate and we are charged for the trash disposal.
